We are excited to announce the release of two new features: buying and selling on the secondary market.
You can now easily and automatically list notes in your portfolio for sale on Folio and also set up automatic purchasing strategies for the secondary market which can be used independently or as part of a robust strategy that includes the primary market .
To list notes automatically on the secondary market, you first create sell strategies that dictate the criteria of the notes you’d like to list. You can have as many sell strategies as you’d like.
For example, let’s say I’d like to list all D notes, in grace period, with a credit score trending down, a term of 36 month, and an age between 20-50 months.
After you enter in the criteria you’d like to list, you can use the markup/discount vs remaining payments chart to determine a fair markup/discount for your notes.
Finally select a sale duration. In this example I selected 5 days so on the first day the notes will list for a 2% markup and will relist each day proportionally until the lowest price is reached on day 5. On day 5, the listings expire.
Creating an automatic buy strategy on the secondary market is similar to creating a strategy on the primary market – you can even use an existing strategy for the primary market and easily make it compatible with the secondary market. We have the most comprehensive filtering system with over 110 elements available. Seamlessly create a robust strategy that includes both primary and secondary buying directly from your account manager.
